Payroll administration is a numbers game. It requires specialist skills, a passion for accuracy and a clinical approach, along with a tireless commitment to furthering the interests of the business. It is easy to forget that payroll is also about people, about understanding and recognising the contribution of people in running a successful company.
With this in mind, CRS Technologies supports the South African Payroll Association Payroll Week 2016 initiative, running from 5 -9 September.
This week challenges participating companies with a question: We may think of ourselves as service centres, but what role are we really playing – as payroll administrators – in service to our own company and our market?
The answer to this question goes to the heart of to what extent we truly build people up? How much of what we do on a daily basis is dedicated to people development? What about support and sharing ideas? How ready are we to back people up? Go the extra mile internally to empower people?
As a people organisation, we have a vested interest in initiatives that are designed to put people’s contribution at the forefront of people development.
We are very happy to accept SAPA’s challenge and initiate some introspection to find out if we, through our own processes and procedures, are doing enough to empower and build people up.
We believe that if we get it right ‘at home’, we will enhance our external engagement as well and that can only benefit customers and clients.
Let’s make payroll administration count, and let’s all support Payroll Week 2016!
