Ian McAlister – Sales Manager, Gauteng

I qualified as an aircraft electrician at Atlas Aircraft on aircraft which are now in a museum (where my son is convinced I should be!). After qualifying, I spent time as a construction electrician on Duvah power station and then worked down a gold mine as an instrumentation charge-hand. The computer bug bit and I went to work for Saco Systems as a hardware tech for the time-&-attendance systems. I progressed onto software support and development and then into sales. I was with Saco for 24 years, during which I moved to Cape Town. I have recently moved back to Johannesburg and joined CRS as sales manager. I look forward to helping grow the company in a big way and having a lot of fun doing it!

Being a new recruit at CRS has provided me with just the right opportunity I had been seeking, i.e. to specialize in the application of IS to perhaps the most important domain area of business, Human Resource Management. As such I am proud to be a member of the CRS team and hope to make a contribution that will reflect the calibre of excellence traditionally exemplified by CRS. My hobbies include research on subject matters as diverse as Amateur Astronomy, Cosmology, Particle Physics, 3D Virtual Tourism Development & keeping abreast of future technology trends.

Bernice Houston, Gauteng

Bernice was born and bred in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg. After she completed her Honours Degree in Corporate Communications at the then Rand Afrikaans University, Bernice moved into the corporate world and progressed to being the office manager for City Watch International, an organisation specialising in the design and manufacture of custom wristwatches. Bernice was recruited to assist CRS with the management of their Channel Venture. Having been at CRS for just over a month I am confident that CRS has a very bright future ahead. Bernice is passionate about dancing and has been involved with middle eastern dancing for 13 years. Bernice loves shopping, road running and got hooked onto Bikram Yoga nearly 2 years ago and has not looked back. In October of 2010, Bernice tied the knot with the man of her dreams and is still trying to get used to her new surname. Bernice loves life, people and challenges.
