RETURN OF EARNINGS DEADLINE
It is important that employers note the following:
COID Return of Earnings (ROE) deadline extended
Government Gazette No. 43104, Notice 174 of 2020 was published on 18 March 2020 to notify employers that the deadline for ROE submissions has been extended to 31 May 2020. Submissions will open on 1 April 2020.
Additionally, the minimum assessment amount for 2020 has been increased to R1 296.00 per annum.
The Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act No 130 of 1993 (COIDA) provides for compensation for disablement caused by occupational injuries or diseases sustained or contracted by employees during their employment, or for death resulting from such injuries or diseases.
