NSSA INSURABLE EARNINGS CEILING
It is important that employers note the following:
Pension & Other Benefits Scheme (POBS) contributions
The National Social Security Authority (NSSA) has published the new maximum amount of monthly insurable earnings for October and November.
The new maximum amount of monthly insurable earnings in respect of which contributions are payable shall be 75% (seventy five per cent) of the previous month’s total consumption poverty line (TCPL).
Where the TCPL figure is not available or published, the last published figure is applicable.
For October 2021 the insurable earning ceiling for the month is ZWL$ 24 951.00.
For both employer and employee, the maximum deduction has changed from ZWL$ 1 071.59
(4.5% x 23 813.00) to ZWL$ 1 122.80 (4.5% x 24 951.00).
For November 2021 the insurable earnings ceiling for the month is ZWL$ 26 693.00.
For both employer and employee, the maximum deduction has changed from ZWL$ 1 122.80
(4.5% x 24 951.00) to ZWL$ 1201.19 (4.5% x 26 693.00). |
