Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) guides

The Information Regulator has updated the PAIA guide in accordance with the Promotion of Access to Information Act No. 2 of 2000.

The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development published a notice in Government Gazette No. 45492 on 16 November 2021 to notify information officers and the public that the PAIA guides are now available at the Regulator’s website in all eleven official languages and copies thereof, including braille, are also available at the Office of the Information Regulator.

The guide enables any person who wishes to exercise any right contemplated in the PAIA and the Protection of Personal Information Act No. 4 of 2013.
