APRIL 2025 – ROE Online System Extended Shutdown Period
It is important that employers note the following:
Extended temporary shutdown of the ROE online system
Following the CRS News Flash published on 2 April 2025, the Compensation Fund (CF) has encountered a further delay in its preparations for the 2024 Return of Earnings (ROE) season. As a result, the system, initially scheduled to reopen on 11 April 2025 after the initial extension, will remain closed until midnight on 30 April 2025. It will be available for the submission of returns on 1 May at 08:00.
During the shutdown period, the following services will be affected:
- Employer registrations will not be processed, including those via the CIPC BizPortal platform and the CF’s back-office processes.
- Employers will be unable to declare any return of earnings, either online or manually.
- The CF will not be able to clear employers flagged for audit or process applications for assessment revisions.
- No instalment applications will be considered during this period.
Due to the delay in reopening the system, the expiry date of the current Letters of Good Standing, originally set for 30 April 2025, has been extended to 31 May 2025. To view the shutdown notice, follow the link.
