Terms, Conditions and Privacy Policy
The Terms, Conditions and Privacy Policy (“Terms”) govern the use of the CRS Technologies (Pty) Ltd Website (“CRS Website”). By viewing the CRS Website, the User agrees to be bound by the Terms as set out in this legal notice.
Definitions
In this Agreement, unless otherwise required or indicated by the context:
- “CRS Website” shall mean the CRS Technologies (Pty) Ltd Website located at the domain name co.za, including derivative web applications;
- “CRS” shall mean CRS Technologies (Pty) Ltd, a South African-based private company with limited liability and registration number [2000/009010/07] and with its main offices located at Centric House, Mellis Court, Mellis Road, Rivonia, 2191;
- “Personal Information” means any information that may be used to identify a specific person;
- “System Data” shall mean usage, transactional and device-related data that is collected automatically by CRS;
- “User” shall mean any person who accesses or uses the CRS Website;
- “User Data” shall mean any data or content entered or captured by a User by means of the CRS Website;

All information accessed or browsed using this website is provided “as is”.
While CRS shall endeavour to ensure that all material published on the website is accurate at the time of its publication, it gives no warrantees as to the accuracy of the information and the information does not represent legal advice. Your use of the information is entirely at your own risk and no liability will arise against CRS resulting from your browsing the website or using the information provided on the website.
CRS does not warrant that this website or the delivery, hosting and ancillary services or facilities of third-party suppliers utilised by CRS will continue to operate, will operate without interruptions or will be error free, or that it will be free of any software virus or other harmful component.

The CRS Website may contain hyperlinks to websites owned and/or operated by third parties. CRS is not responsible for the content of such websites, and does not endorse or approve the contents thereof.

Security
Any user that delivers or attempts to deliver any damaging code to this website or attempts to gain unauthorised access to any page on this website shall be criminally prosecuted.
CRS may also, at its sole discretion, institute civil action for damages suffered as a result of such conduct.
Jurisdiction
By accessing this site, the user consents to the South African law and the jurisdiction of the South African courts governing any action which may arise in respect of the User’s use of this site.
Privacy policy
CRS is committed to protecting the User’s privacy. This privacy policy explains how CRS shall collect and use customer information as well as what the User’s access rights to the information and/or data are.
Information that you provide
CRS shall collect information from the User, including but not limited to one or more of the following fields:
- Personal details such as name and surname;
- Contact details, such as email address and contact number;
- Preferences with respect to the use of the CRS Website.
Collecting of service-related information
The following types of information are collected in the background through the User’s use of the CRS Website:
- System data relating to the User’s device or Internet connection, such as the User’s device’s operating system, browser or IP address;
- Usage data regarding the User’s use of the CRS Website;
- Analytics data in aggregate and anonymous format via third party tracking services such as Google Analytics;
Security and protection of information
The User’s User and System Data are private and confidential and are treated as such. CRS takes all reasonable steps to secure and protect your data during hosting and transmission and to ensure that your information is handled in accordance with the Terms.
However, it is possible for internet-based communications to be intercepted or servers to be hacked. CRS will not be responsible for any damages the User or any third party may suffer as a result of the hosting or transmission of confidential or disclosed information that the User make to CRS through the Internet, or that the User expressly or implicitly authorises CRS to make, or for any errors or any changes made to any transmitted information.
To ensure acquaintance with and awareness of the privacy measures and policies of CRS, the User is urged to take care to read and understand the underlying privacy clauses incorporated in these Terms.
Using and sharing of information
CRS may not use and share the User and System Data we collect from the User.
CRS undertakes not to share any of the User’s User or Systems Data that are deemed of a personal or private nature.
CRS retains the right to transfer the User’s information to a new owner if the ownership of all or substantially all of our business should change, in which case the terms will still apply until the Terms are updated or amended.
CRS may release account information or User Data when we believe, in good faith, that such release is reasonably necessary to (a) comply with law, (b) enforce or apply the terms of any of our agreements or (c) protect our, our Users’ or any other relevant third parties’ rights, property or safety.
Using data for research and benchmark purposes
The User hereby provides consent for their de-identified User and System Data to be used for research relating to CRS products or services. The User also consents to the use of aggregate User and System Data for statistical and benchmark purposes.
Cookies policy
A cookie is a small text file stored by the User’s browser (for instance, Internet Explorer or Chrome) on the User’s computer or mobile device. CRS uses cookies to authenticate returning customers and to prevent fraudulent use of User accounts. Cookies can be disabled in the browser settings, but if a User disables them, they will not be able to log into the CRS Website.
Local storage
Local storage is a more secure way for web applications to store large amounts of data locally in the User’s browser without affecting the web application’s performance. CRS uses local storage to store some of the User Data to improve the application’s performance and to allow the User to use the application to some extent, while offline when an internet connection is not available.
When a User logs out of the CRS Website any information stored in local storage is cleared. The User can choose to disable local storage in the settings menu. Please note that disabling local storage will detrimentally affect the User’s experience with the CRS Website.
Data protection and use of information
CRS may collect and process, and the User expressly consents to, the collection and processing of their User Data and System Data by CRS to open, administer and operate the User’s profile and account; provide any combination of services or analysis linked to CRS, monitor and analyse the conduct on the User’s profile and account for fraud, compliance and other risk-related purposes; carry out statistical and other analyses to identify potential markets and trends; and develop new products and services.
The User expressly consents that CRS may process and further process the User Data and System Data within CRS for the above purposes; disclose their Personal Information to any person who provides services to CRS or acts as their agent or to whom CRS has transferred or proposed to transfer any of their rights and duties in respect of a User’s account, and/or share the User’s User Data and System Data with their service providers, locally and outside the Republic of South Africa, as necessary. CRS demands that any third-party service providers to CRS agrees to its strict privacy policies if it needs to access any Personal Information to carry out its services.
The User acknowledges that CRS will at all times remain responsible for determining the purpose of and means for processing the User’s User Data and System Data; and CRS is required by legislation to collect certain Personal Information from the User.
The User agrees that they are providing CRS with their Personal Information voluntarily and freely.
Whenever the User is of the opinion that CRS fails to comply with the Privacy Policy as set out herein, the User will contact CRS by sending a request on the “Contact us” tab. CRS will review the User’s representations made by email and, if within its sole and absolute discretion advisable, take corrective action and, in any event, within 7 (seven) days respond to the User informing them about corrective actions taken, if any.
Alterations to Terms and Conditions
The use of or access to this site constitutes the User’s acceptance of the above Terms and Conditions.
CRS has the exclusive discretion to alter the Terms and Conditions of this site at any time, without prior notice to the User.
